Every J.Lore piece is made by hand to be carried, loved, and kept for years. With a little care, your bag will only get better with time. Below you'll find how to look after your raffia and leather pieces, along with the details of our two-year warranty and repair service.

Caring for Raffia

Raffia is a natural, hand-woven fibre with a beautiful organic texture. Because it is natural, it deserves a gentle touch.

  • Dust your bag regularly with a soft, dry brush or cloth, working gently along the weave.
  • Keep raffia away from water and damp conditions. If it does get wet, reshape it by hand and let it air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can dry out or fade the natural fibres over time.
  • Do not overload your bag or force it out of shape, as this can loosen the weave.
  • When not in use, store it stuffed lightly with tissue to hold its shape, in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.

Caring for Leather

Our leather is a natural material that develops a unique patina with age. Small variations in grain and tone are part of its character, not flaws.

  • Wipe your leather regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials.
  • Apply a quality leather conditioner every few months to keep the leather soft and supple.
  • Keep leather away from direct sunlight and heat, which can cause fading and drying.
  • Avoid contact with water, oils, perfumes, and cosmetics. If your bag gets wet, blot it gently with a soft, dry cloth and let it air dry naturally.
  • Store in a cool, dry place inside a breathable dust bag, stuffed lightly to help it hold its shape.

Our Two-Year Warranty

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Every J.Lore piece is covered by a two-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. This covers issues such as faulty zippers, hardware failure, and stitching that comes undone under normal use.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including patina, softening, and minor surface marks that come with everyday use.
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper storage, or lack of care and maintenance.
  • Damage from exposure to water, heat, chemicals, or sunlight.
  • Custom-made or personalized items, where applicable.

Repairs

If something goes wrong with your bag, we're here to help. Reach out to our team and our associate will guide you through the next steps. If the issue falls within the two-year warranty period and is determined to be a manufacturing defect, we will repair it at no cost to you.
